“We had something going on. Oh yes, that was the core of our relationship. It was actually very sexual, and he was great. That’s how I was!’ Moreno admitted.

Moreno said she entered psychotherapy to cope with years of bullying she endured because of her Latinx heritage.

‘It took me a lot of time and therapy to like myself. “If you are traumatized so early in life, it takes a long time to get rid of the idea that you are bad,” she said.

Moreno added that although Gordon – who would later manage her career – was the love of her life, she admitted that she probably would have left him at some point.

The actress and Gordon share daughter Fernanda Luisa Gordon, 57, who she admitted was the main reason she stayed with him.

‘It started to get very tense. And if it wasn’t for my daughter, I probably would have left,” she said.

Moreno said her late husband had a “fantastic sense of humor” and was a “great grandfather,” though there were other things from their era.

“This marriage taught me something about relationships that I didn’t like, and that is that being with someone forever and ever isn’t necessarily great,” she said.

‘Sometimes it is like that. But more often than not, that’s not the case. That’s something I learned – a big, profound lesson,” she added.”

Moreno has not remarried since Gordon died in 2010.
