Morning radio shows in Kenya were revolutionised when a new program christened ‘Patanisho’ took over the airwaves by a storm 10 years ago.

The morning show is hosted by Joseph Oyoo aka ‘Gidi’ with Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee as his co-host at Radio Africas’ Radio Jambo – one of the country’s popular stations.Patanisho loosely translated to reconciling seeks to mitigate couples’ life struggles who have domestic friction in their relationships and marriages.If there are heroes to be celebrated in this in this country Leonard Mambo Mbotela should be one of them. He is popularly known for his program ‘Je Huu ni Ungwana?
The duo awed their fans when they paid a courtesy call to Legendary Radio Presenter Mambo Mbotela.

Among his pioneer shows are Uhalifu Haulipi, Ongea Lugha Sanifu, and Waliosifika which he hosted all in Kiswahili, at the same time presenting news at Voice of Kenya before joining KBC.
He got honoured as a Kenyan Hero on 5th August 2022 by the former Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Culture and Heritage Amina Mohammed when he was appointed to the National Heroes Council, a position he will hold for 3 years.
