Queen Camilla and King Charles hit Sandringham Flower Show in style

Queen Camilla and King Charles woke up and smelled the roses — in style.

The royal couple stopped by the Sandringham Flower Show in Sandringham Park, Norfolk, England, on Wednesday by way of a horse-drawn carriage.

Camilla, 76, donned a belted, pleated dress featuring a garden-appropriate green, ivy-leaf pattern, while Charles, 74, sported a dapper tan suit and fedora, a red patterned tie and a complementary pocket square — as well as dark shades for the sunny day.

The former Duchess of Cornwall was spotted sniffing and picking a colorful bouquet of florals, while Charles was seen chatting with a group of onlookers, even chuckling as they spoke.

This year’s event marks the 140th anniversary of the show, which brings more than 20,000 attendees annually to the venue, which is actually part of the royal family’s home where they often spend the Christmas holiday.

The flower show features display gardens, charity booths, a band and mini competitions to showcase vegetables, fruit, flowers and art.

Camilla’s simple floral frock seemed an appropriate choice for the show, though her fashion sense has made headlines of late.

Clothing expert Leroy Dawkins recently dished that Camilla wears the same kind of ensembles to different events, such as A-line-styled dresses.

While she dresses “remarkably well” for her age, he told the Daily Express, she could “benefit a lot” by changing up her wardrobe in just a few different ways.”

“As a stylist, I would prefer to see Queen Camilla’s hemline come up just a little and see her wear more structured fabrics and more form-fitting sheath dresses like other royal ladies,” he said.

“For the evenings, she could try experimenting with more form-fitting, shorter-sleeve dresses, with her hemline lowered so her shoes are not showing,” Dawkins suggested, adding that she should also try wearing bolder colors.

Another recent event where Charles and Camilla were spotted — the Royal Ascot late last month — also brought critique from body language expert Darren Stanton, who revealed how the two lean on each other in public.

Stanton said the ex-Prince of Wales often depends on Camilla for “strength and reassurance,” while she “takes the lead” during their speaking engagements.

At the event, he noted that while the duo “look very comfortable and confident together,” Charles sometimes seems lost without his beloved standing “directly by his side.”

“She has become his rock who he depends on in social settings,” he said. “Camilla doesn’t have to be joined at the hip.”
