Kenya Power has stated that there will be a power outage scheduled for Tuesday, July 9, 2024, which is set to impact six counties.
Through its X account, Kenya Power has announced that the blackout, which is planned for maintenance purposes, will affect several areas from morning to evening.
“Good morning. The listed areas will be affected by planned power interruptions (9th July 2024). The interruption is part of network maintenance,” Kenya Power stated.
The outage, while temporary, is expected to impact various sectors and activities in the affected Counties.
Nairobi County
Area: Thigiri
Time: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Places to be affected include; Kitsuru Road, Spring Valley Road, Bendera Lane, Thigiri, Gardens, Thigiri Lane, Thigiri Close, Thigiri Ridge Road and adjacent customers.
Area: Parts of Karen
Ngong View Estate, The Hub, Tree Lane, Part of Windy Ridge, DOD Westwood, Kerarapon Rd, Part of Ngong Rd and adjacent customers.
Kericho County
Area: Chemosit, Litein
