Mumias East MP Peter Salasya is pulling out all the stops in his quest to win over socialite Huddah Monroe and it’s giving ‘trying too hard’.
The lawmaker is gearing up to host a grand welcome for the beauty entrepreneur, who is set to return to Kenya after globe-trotting for years.
In his quest to make the occasion unforgettable, he is determined to find the best flower vendors in the city, insisting that only the freshest roses will suffice.
“I’m on the hunt for the best flower vendors in town—only the freshest roses will do,” Salasya announced with the enthusiasm of a man on a mission. “I’m also scouting for the swankiest hotel with an amazing ambience, and of course, the top-notch videographer in the city. Meeting her in person is like icing on the cake. And let’s be honest, without a cake, icing is just…well, sticky! But with a great cake, the right icing is perfection ❤️👌” Salasya stated.
Additionally, he’s on the lookout for the most luxurious hotel, one that offers an exceptional atmosphere, and the finest videographer to capture the event.
Salasya also urged potential partners to reach out to him directly, emphasizing the importance of this event. With only a few days remaining until the Huddah’s arrival, he stressed that her homecoming must be nothing short of spectacular.
“All partners, slide into my DMs—this is serious business! Just a few days to go, and Madam Boss must arrive in style. She’s one of the celebrities who truly loves her country with passion.”
Salasya’s grand gestures come after Monroe hinted at a potential hook-up if he can meet her financial expectations of Ksh6.4 million.
She revealed that the hook-up is not a lifetime commitment but just enough to quench his thirst.
In a Q&A session on her Instagram stories, Huddah Monroe was asked if she could hook up with the lawmaker.
“Unaeza pea Salasya chance akifika bei?” (Would you give Salasya a chance if he could afford it?)
Huddah, never one to shy away from a playful response, quipped, “Haiuzwi but, $50,000 (Ksh6.3 million) kuweka tip pekee.”
Never one to back down, the MP responded with flair, assuring that he was more than willing to meet Monroe’s demands. After all, in his eyes, she’s worth every coin and more!.
Huddah to Salasya
On August 9, 2024, Huddah Monroe responded to Salasya’s romantic advances. Posting on her Instagram stories, Huddah suggested that Salasya’s affection might be influenced by the bhang from Busia County.
“Naona bangi za Busia zilimuonyesha mimi, (I see Bhang from Busia showed him me),” she said.
Salasya had publicly expressed his admiration for the socialite earlier that day. He commended Huddah for her unwavering support of Generation Z’s nationwide protests against the government, praising her solidarity with the youth-led demonstrations.
Rejection every corner
The Nairobi dating pool has proven to be unaccommodating to Salasya, who has been on a long search for his other half.
After famously declaring his interest in content creator Azziad Nasenya back in 2022 only to be politely shown the door, and more recently, shooting his s**t at Huddah Monroe only to be met with a solid ‘no.’
Along the way, some bold women openly pursued him, but in a twist, the MP turned them down. Cue Otile Brown’s ‘Alivyonipenda’ (Saa zingine anayekupenda humpendi).
The MP recently revealed the reason he has not found the one. He said his wish is to marry a busy and submissive w***n who according to him is not in the waters he is fishing in.
He explained that it’s challenging for him to find a wife because Nairobi women often prefer city life, whereas he wants someone who can stay at home in the village.
He mentioned that someone advised him to marry a teacher or banker, as their busy schedules would prevent them from causing stress.
“Shida ya wife na hii ni lazima wasichana waelewe Biblia inasema submissive. It’s Biblical it’s spiritual you should be submissive,” Salasya shared.
Adding;
“It’s a very difficult thing for me to marry kwa sababu madem wa siku hizi wanataka kukaa na wewe Nairobi na mimi nataka akae ushago. Mtu alikuwa ananiadvise nipate mwalimu ama banker. Mtu mwenye ako busy asiniletee stress.”
