Patricia Kihoro has shared her deep struggle with depression after losing several family members in quick succession. The actress and singer’s father passed away on July 10, 2024. In her emotional Instagram post, Patricia reflected on how hard it has been to cope with his loss.
“It’s been 11 weeks since Dad died, and every day feels like a struggle to understand life without him,” she wrote. Patricia described her father’s love as immense and expressed how much she misses him.

Patricia Kihoro Grieving Multiple Deaths
Just two days before her father’s death, her aunt Josephine, who had been a close friend to her mother for 50 years, passed away unexpectedly.
Josephine had helped set up Patricia’s first Facebook fan page to support her singing career, making her loss even more significant.
Soon after, Patricia lost her uncle Martin, who proudly reminded her of holding her when she was born. The weight of these losses has been overwhelming for her.
“I fell into a state where I barely saw beyond tomorrow,” Patricia admitted. However, she credited her family, friends, and psychiatrist for helping her find hope again.
Despite the pain, she sees it as a beautiful reminder of the love she was fortunate to experience. “It is a beautiful pain, and in some way, I don’t ever want it to end,” she concluded.
