Paris Hilton defends son against online trolls

Paris Hilton responded to critics who mocked her baby’s head. The former reality TV star posted a picture with her son Phoenix to her 26 million followers in late 2023.

“Phoenix’s first time in NYC, my precious angel baby,” the 43-year-old captioned the image. However, the photo drew some harsh comments. One user called the child a ‘funny looking kid’. Another remarked, “Man got a lot of thoughts up there.”

A different comment read, “There was no doctor who could perform the delivery; it must have been done by a magician.” Someone else asked, “Does he have encephalitis? What’s actually going on? Not trying to be rude, but that doesn’t seem normal.”

Hilton eventually responded on TikTok, condemning the negative remarks about her son. “Living in the spotlight means comments are inevitable, but targeting my child, or any child, is unacceptable,” she wrote on Instagram.

“This hurts deeper than words can describe. I’ve worked hard to create an environment of love, respect, and acceptance, and I expect the same in return. “If I don’t post my baby, people assume I’m not a good mother. If I do post him, some people are cruel and hateful. I’m a proud working mum, and my baby is perfectly healthy, adorable, and angelic. I’ve dreamt of being a mum for as long as I can remember.

“Phoenix is my world and the biggest blessing of my life. “Every day with him is a reminder of what truly matters. It’s hard to believe there are people who would target such innocence. “I hope people can treat one another with more kindness and empathy.”

Hilton and her husband, Carter Reum, welcomed their son via surrogacy in January 2023. They have since had a daughter named London, born via surrogate in November 2023. The singer and heiress reportedly named her children after famous cities in the US and UK. Phoenix and London’s middle names honour her late grandparents Barron and Marilyn Hilton.
