Olly Murs shares he’s juggling nappies and late nights as he gives insight into fatherhood while on-stage at Take That tour

Olly Murs has given fans an insight into fatherhood after welcoming his newborn daughter Madison last week.

The 39-year-old singer was reunited with his little girl this week after leaving her and wife Amelia Tank to tour with Take That, just 48 hours after welcoming their first child.

And on Friday, Olly said he was juggling diapers and late nights but feels guilty about working outside the home.

Standing on stage at London’s O2 arena, Olly said: ‘It’s been the craziest time. Because on the one hand, of course, I have a beautiful baby girl, my wife takes care of her at home with the diapers and the sleepless nights.

‘And I’m on tour with Take That. I feel guilty!’

In the exclusive clip obtained via MailOnline, Olly continued: ‘But this week I’ve been home. I’ve done the diapers, I’ve done the late nights and I can’t wait to stay on tour.

‘It’s a joke! Honestly, she’s really great. I never thought I would become a father, so I can’t quite believe it.

Olly pointed to his manhood and shouted, ‘It works! And really, I’m super, super proud. And to be on this tour just tops it off. So what a great time for me right now.”

He added: So this next part for me, when I went on tour, I was like, I just want to play a lot of my songs that hopefully some of you will remember.

“And before the baby came along, we actually called this next part the Minnie MURS Medley.

“And so, ladies and gentlemen, if you’ve been following my career since 2009, you’ll remember some of these songs, I hope you enjoy them. This is literally my Super Bowl moment!’

Olly then played fan favorite hits such as Troublemaker, Moves and Dear Darlin’ as he warmed up the crowd for Take That.

It comes after Olly and his bodybuilder partner, 31, who married in July last year, announced the arrival of their baby daughter, Maddison, on Thursday.

Olly was emotional on Saturday as he left his wife and daughter to go back on tour just 48 hours after Amelia gave birth.

Amelia shared a clip of Olly on stage and wrote: ‘I’ve just been feeding our baby Madi and then we see this message. She doesn’t even know yet that she has a super dad. We both miss you very much but are so proud of you @ollymurs.’

Olly reposted Amelia’s post with a crying emoji, before posting a photo of himself cuddling a bunny on stage after receiving it as a gift for Maddison.

He wrote: ‘Aww guys. Madi will love it.’

Olly took to the stage with Take That at the First Direct Arena in Leeds and announced: ‘What’s great about tonight is that it’s my first show as a dad.

‘I’m going to try not to get emotional. Little Madison is doing really well.”

“She is at home with my lovely wife and it is a real honor to be here. I wasn’t going to leave you guys hanging tonight. I’m rushing home to see the baby.’

Olly and his wife Amelia welcomed their first child earlier this week and shared a sweet video on Instagram.

The couple uploaded a photo leaving the hospital as they revealed they had welcomed a baby girl.

The joint message read: ‘Our mini Murs has arrived. Madison, we love you so much already x’.

Olly and Amelia announced they were expecting their first child in December when they shared the exciting announcement on Instagram.

Dressed in Christmas jumpers, an excited Olly proudly held up a photo of their ultrasound scan as he pointed to Amelia’s blossoming baby bump.

He wrote: ‘Baby Murs due 2024’ as Amelia posed in unbuttoned jeans and a white crop top.

A large number of the couple’s showbiz friends took to the comments section to share their congratulations.

When the couple got married in July, Olly shared his hopes of one day becoming a father.

The X Factor star told Hello! Magazine: ‘We are ready to let our own little Murs run around.

“It’s so special that one day we can take our children to Osea Island and say, ‘We got married here.’

In another interview with OK! Magazine he said: ‘I’m not sure if I’m going for six children, but of course I would like to have children.’

The couple tied the knot in a three-day festival-themed wedding, 13 months after the former star of The X Factor proposed.

The wedding, nicknamed Murs Fest, saw a number of big music names perform, including Olly himself and fellow singer Craig David.
