Benard odhiambo Okome, popularly known as “odhiambo tusker” was born in Uyoma, Siaya county. Odhiambo started showing glimpse of tallent at early age while in school. While at school he was noticed by veteran benga artiste Dr. Osito Kalle of Nabi Kings. Odhiambo tusker joined Nabi kings to be prolific song writer under keen watch and mentorship of Osito kalle. He later recorded his first hit song “Jopuonj joma beyo” which did well. Another album followed which was hit bannger “Cynthia ” and the current album also doing pretty well “Betty and sussy chamo to gweo” . Odhiambo majorly did his giggs in Nairobi and western Kenya
However, despite being a famous Benga fan in the country, Odhiambo Tusker has today made it official that he has quite the benga music industry to join the gospel industry. According to Odhiambo Tusker, a time has reached for him to give praise and thanks to the almighty. He has therefore, received a call to join the gospel industry.
