NFL Week 3 player props, anytime touchdown scorers: Jahmyr Gibbs, Zay Flowers

Week 3 of the NFL season is here, and we have some of our favorite anytime touchdown props for you.

On Sunday, we’re targeting two rookie skills position players picked in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

And for Monday, we’re turning our focus to a veteran receiver with 83 career touchdowns.

Week 3 NFL anytime touchdown scorers

Jahmyr Gibbs (+100, bet365)

After being used sparingly through the Lions’ first two games, it appears to be No. 12 overall pick Jahmyr Gibbs’ time to shine when Detroit hosts the Falcons on Sunday.

As of Thursday, Detroit’s lead runner David Montgomery hadn’t practiced all week with a quad injury.

If Montgomery does indeed sit out Week 3, and it’s certainly trending that way, Gibbs will be in for a big night.

Montgomery has 37 rushing attempts to Gibbs’ 14, including two touchdowns to the rookie’s zero after two weeks of the season.

Look for Gibbs to take Montgomery’s spot as the Lions’ goal-line rusher, but, after catching nine passes in two games heading into this one, I could see him get into the end zone through the passing game as well.

Zay Flowers (+175, DraftKings)

Zay Flowers has quickly become a favorite of Lamar Jackson’s.

The rookie receiver already leads the Ravens in targets and red zone targets, although he hasn’t reached the pylon yet.

Averaging 70 yards and 6.5 receptions through two games, those numbers could go even higher against a weak Indianapolis Colts secondary.

The Colts have allowed the fourth-most passing yards and third-most passing touchdowns during the young season.

Last week, Nico Collins of the Texans, with rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud feeding him the ball, torched the Colts for 146 yards and a touchdown.

In Week 1, Jaguars’ No. 1 receiver Calvin Ridley went off for 101 yards and a touchdown.

Bet on Flowers to have a similar day on Sunday.

Mike Evans (+200, bet365)

Mike Evans isn’t showing any signs of slowing down.

The 10-year veteran has a touchdown in each of the Buccaneers’ first two games and is averaging 118.5 receiving yards as Baker Mayfield’s top target.

Tampa Bay’s offense has been surprisingly competent through two games, notching 339.5 yards per game (12th in the NFL) and 47 total points (16th).

The Eagles defense has been a bit shaky so far this season, while the Buccaneers’ has looked impressive.

Betting on the NFL?

Evans has yet to get a red zone target this season but I’m not worried — from 2020-22, Evans caught 22 touchdown passes inside the 20 yard-line, which is tied for the fourth-most in the NFL over that period.

At these juicy odds, back to Evans to make three straight games in the end zone.
