Life isn’t so ruff for Oliver the mini Bernedoodle.

The privileged pup’s owner, Sherry Tran, 30, from Coatesville, Pennsylvania, and her boyfriend, Ray Cruz, 31, treat the social media-famous 3-year-old to a life of luxury, complete with a seven-step daily beauty routine, strict health regimen, and his own custom-designed living quarters.

Tran, a nail technician and aesthetician, and Cruz, a 31-year-old heavy equipment operator, moved from a cramped apartment into a four-bedroom house where they had lots of extra room to renovate a bedroom and bathroom specifically for Oliver, who Tran admitted is “basically her child.”

The dearly-loved doggo’s space is stuffed with amenities including a customized snack bar, stocked with gourmet treats in mason jars, a grooming table, and a ball pit that matches the markings on his black and white fur.

The pampered pooch even has a personalized rug of his face which he received as a gift.

“I knew I wanted one of the rooms to basically be Oliver’s bedroom because he has a lot of things that I use to care for him whether it’s food or toys,” Tran told SWNS.

“The renovation for his bathroom and bedroom was about $400.”

“My boyfriend did a lot of the manual labor when it came to installing things both in the bathroom and the bedroom. We’re lucky he’s so handy and willing to help me make my vision come true,” she said.

Oliver is also a budding social media star, with over 23,000 Instagram followers and nearly 10,000 TikTok followers.

Tran says she catches flak from online trolls for investing so much in Oliver’s lifestyle.

She said: “I get a lot of hate on the video saying that there’s a lot of children who don’t have this luxury.”

“I understand where they are coming from, but at the same time, the way they send the message is attacking rather than trying to provide insight.”

“I know I do more than the average dog person does. It’s just for me and my lifestyle.”

Oliver is also spoiled with his own $1,000 wardrobe. His outfits include a bathrobe, rain jacket, and a puffer coat to match Tran’s, as well as snow boots to protect his paws.

The proud mama spends $200 per month on her “child” for his medication, homemade meals, and luxury treats and chews.

Oliver keeps a busy lifestyle as Tran has a daily seven-step beauty routine for him.

“In the morning we get up, I let him outside and then I go to the gym,” she started. “I tell him to go to bed and I give him a little treat. I then take him out to the yard to play fetch.

“The yard has got a lot of morning dew, so his paws are really wet and dirty from all the grass and where we live there’s a lot of ticks. We make sure that he has tick treatment daily.”

Tran continued: “I then bring him to his bathroom and put him in the bathtub to rinse off his paws with some water to lightly rinse off all the grass.”

“I always wanted this bathtub, but I lived in apartments before, and I had nowhere else to put it.

Tran explained that she never liked the way other groomers made Oliver look so she did her own research and enrolled in a virtual grooming class on Bernedoodles.

“Then I bring him to his bedroom where he has a grooming table. I dry him there with a professional high-velocity blow dryer that groomers use,” she continued.

“I then comb his fur to remove any matts and moisturize his paws,” she said. “He will not let me cut his nails so I have to hand file his nails, so they’re always shaped in a squoval shape.”

In addition to maintaining his outwardly “presentable” appearance, Tran also spends thousands of dollars per year for Oliver to stay fit and healthy.

“Something expensive we’ve purchased would probably be his entire set of vitamins and supplements,” she said. “Their containers are $100, and the vitamins and supplements are $500.”

“Once or twice a week I meal prep his meals. He does a diet of half-raw meat and half kibble,” Tran revealed.

“I change out the protein weekly and add different toppings and supplements to his food daily. I’m a huge foodie and I wouldn’t want to eat the same thing every day, so I apply the same concept for him.”

Oliver also joins the couple when they spend time on the nearby creek either on a boat, canoeing, and paddle boarding.

The pup is a licensed therapy dog who is currently off-duty but has previously worked at a local elementary school.

Tran says she plans to take Oliver to Japan next fall.

His well-mannered demeanor allows Tran to bring him along to her salon.

“I’m not going to bring Oliver to work if he is dirty and unkept, I have to hold him to a certain standard,” she reasoned.

“How am I going to have a beauty salon if my dog isn’t beautified either?”

The couple also treats their four-legged friend to lavish birthday parties, including a $500 picnic for his first trip around the sun and a $1,500 gathering with a professional photographer and balloon artist for his second birthday.

“The house, the bedroom and the bathroom were his birthday presents so we didn’t do anything this year because that was our main goal,” Tran said.

But next year, the couple plan on celebrating Oliver’s special day at a local dog park and beer garden that is set to open.

“You either pay a daily fee or a yearly fee and you can drink, you can eat, your dogs can play and there’s people that are watching over your dogs.”

But Oliver is a “VID – a very important dog,” Tran explained, so his membership is free.
