Mollie King proudly cheers on her fiancé Stuart Broad with their baby daughter Annabella as he begins his final day of Test cricket at the Ashes before his retirement

Mollie King was proudly cheering on her fiancé Stuart Broad as he began his last ever day of Test cricket on Monday.

Carrying their baby daughter Annabella, the Saturdays star, 35, was in attendance at The Oval for the fifth and final Ashes test of the series, bringing the curtain down on Stuart’s 17-year career before retirement.

Mollie was every inch the doting mother as she held her baby daughter on the Oval balcony, watching Stuart take to the field for the last time.

She opted for a chic white look, while little Annabella, eight months, was dressed in a cute pink outfit.

After a brief rain delay, England and Australia took to the field for the final day of the series, with Stuart aptly starting for the home nation after being seen embracing Mark Wood in the dressing room.

An early Wicket meant an end to David Warner, while a strong bowl from Stuart Broad beat Usman Khawaja, the victim of England’s second wicket of the day.

Broad’s third delivery hit the stumps, but it wasn’t long before England earned another wicket within the hour, meaning Labuschagne was gone.

Despite already losing the series due to a fourth Test washout, England are determined to draw the series in style by beating the Aussies in their final test.

Stuart was given a guard of honour by the Australian players as he walked out to bat for the last time on Sunday alongside his bowling partner and good friend Jimmy Anderson.

Broad went onto smash his final ball in Test cricket for six before England were bowled out for 395 – setting Australia a seemingly insurmountable challenge to clinch their first away Ashes series victory in 22 years.

Despite England’s misery, this summer has seen Broad make history as he became the second seamer ever to reach 600 Test wickets.

Stuart announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on Saturday ahead of the final two days of the fifth test.

Following a 17-year career that has seen him become England’s second most prolific Test bowler overall, he will now join Sky Sports’ commentary team.

Discussing his decision to retire, Stuart admitted that he wants to be present for his new daughter and spend time at home with Mollie, who has supported him throughout his career.

Mollie took to her Instagram in the early hours of Sunday to congratulate her beau on his successful career.

Uploading some sweet pictures of Stuart playing cricket as a child, she captioned the sweet post: ‘What a moment @stuartbroad – your last test! My darling, you’ve brought joy to so many cricketing fans all over the world, and especially to your family.

‘We have loved every single minute of cheering you on and we’re so incredibly proud of you.

‘Watching you live out your dream has been something I will never forget. Annabella and I will be cheering you and the team on today, as always. We love you so much’.

Mollie and Stuart first met through mutual friends in 2012, but didn’t begin dating until March 2018.

Stuart popped the question to Mollie in January 2021, and they later shared that they were postponing their wedding as they wished for baby Annabella to be more involved in the nuptials.
