Representatives from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), government officials, media personalities, and distinguished guests converged at the Okura Prestige Bangkok hotel yesterday for a high-profile press conference for the revelation of Chon Buri as the New City Debut for the Michelin Guide Thailand 2025 edition.

Chon Buri, nestled on the eastern coast of Thailand, emerges as the perfect canvas for gastronomic exploration in the upcoming guide. With iconic locales like Pattaya, Jomtien, and Sattahip, already magnetic hubs for travellers, the province promises a feast for the senses. Its coastal bounty infuses local cuisine with a rich tapestry of seafood delights, ensuring an unforgettable culinary adventure.

Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of TAT, hailed the collaboration between TAT and Michelin as a catalyst for promoting Thailand’s culinary prowess and driving economic growth.

Nithee Seeprae, TAT’s Deputy Governor for Marketing Communications, highlighted the potential of Michelin partnerships in bolstering Thailand’s secondary destinations.

In a captivating video address, Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the Michelin Guides, extolled Chon Buri’s cultural richness and culinary heritage. His anticipation for exploring the province’s gastronomic landscape echoed the sentiments of food enthusiasts worldwide.
