Mel B has spilled some Spice Girl secrets as she revealed which member of the girl band was a secret smoker.
The 48-year-old singer appeared on Saturday’s upcoming episode of The Jonathan Ross Show and was joined by Billie Piper as the pair reminisced about old times after climbing the charts together at the same time.
As the pair chatted about their time on Top Of The Pops, Billie admitted that she smoked with the girl band in their dressing room at the age of 15.
Billie says: ‘I was such a big fan, so imagine if you were a 15-year-old in a dressing room with The Spice Girls, I would smoke cigarettes with you guys in the dressing room, you would give me cigarettes.’
Mel intervenes and then reveals who the unexpected secret smoker in the Spice Girls was as she interrupts: “That would have been me and Emma.”

Billie was thrust into the spotlight at the age of 15 with her debut single Because We Want To.
The singer-turned-actress reminisces about Mel, adding: “Yes, it was you and Emma and we were sitting on the floor at Top of the Pops smoking cigarettes and surprising them in a plastic cup, it was the heaven.’
Billie shares Winston, 14, and Eugene, 10, with ex-husband Laurence Fox and daughter Tallulah, four, with her partner Johnny Lloyd.
When asked what her children think of her career, Billie jokes: “My eldest doesn’t care, which I actually like, I think that’s a healthier answer.
“I think I have a fan in my youngest child. She watches my music videos and asks to play my songs in the car, and I’ll oblige.”
Discussing her entry into the music industry, Billie says: ‘I was 14 when I signed my record deal, the same age as my eldest son, which baffles me, but he’s not that interested, which I think is fine.’
She added: “They have no interest in me being in Doctor Who but they will come to a convention where there is access to real famous people, real stars if there is access to Stranger Things, Marvel or Lord of the Rings .’
Meanwhile, this year is also the Spice Girl’s thirtieth birthday, and Jonathan asks Mel if they have plans for that commemorate this momentous milestone.

The singer-turned-actress added: “Yes, it was you and Emma and we sat on the floor at Top of the Pops smoking cigarettes and drinking in a plastic cup, it was heaven.”

Mel revealed: ‘We want to do something and we are, but I can’t really tell you because I’m getting kicked out of the WhatsApp group again so I have to be very careful.’
The star then admitted that she often gets kicked out of the group because of her sheer ability to manifest.
She explained: “I’m getting kicked out of the group because I get so excited talking about Spice Girls and the more I say something is going to happen, I really want it to happen, like with the Olympics and the tour of 2019.’
Mel teases what might come from the legendary group, adding, “We’re all in discussions, something’s going to be announced.”
