Mel B is the first star to appear in the upcoming series of The Great Celebrity Bake Off: Stand Up To Cancer.
On Friday morning’s episode of Good Morning Britain, showbiz correspondent Richard Arnold confirmed to presenters Rob Rinder and Charlotte Hawkins the news that the 48-year-old pop star turned talent judge will be heading to the tent.
He revealed: ‘GMB has some insider information and we can reveal that one of the celebrities putting down parchment paper for the new series is the one and only… drumroll… it’s Mel B! Scary, she’ll bring her own brand of spices.”
The show, which returns to screens in April, will see 19 stars compete for the coveted title of Star Baker in the hope of winning the show.
Mel’s Spice Girls bandmate Geri Horner appeared on Sport Relief Bake Off in 2016, where she was praised for her skills creating the Signature, the Technical and the Showstopper.

Mel B is something of a veteran of the TV competition, as she makes up a quarter of the jury on America’s Got Talent.
Earlier this week, she stunned fans when she pressed her Golden Buzzer to steal Heidi Klum’s self-taught aerialist Aidan Bryant on Monday’s episode of AGT.
The English singer shocked Heidi, 50, when she pressed the buzzer to steal Aidan, 19, during the two-hour semi-final episode featuring performances from 10 acts.
Aidan, who previously won AGT: All-Stars, impressed again with his dangerous high-flying act, which earned a standing ovation from the audience and howls of joy from his coach Heidi.
Aidan said it was his first Golden Buzzer and he felt blessed. ‘I was literally speechless and I think I still am. My Golden Buzzer says it all. You’re just incredible,” Mel said.
In addition to big career moves, Mel is also facing exciting personal milestones as she prepares to tie the knot with her fiancé Rory McPhee.
She recently revealed that her wedding will have a personal touch as she revealed that Victoria Beckham designed one of her wedding dresses.
The singer has reunited with her Spice Girl bandmate, 49, in preparation for the big day and has entrusted the fashion designer with the important task of creating both her dress and the mother of the bride.

Mel also revealed that she will tie the knot at London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral after receiving special permission to get married at the venue due to the MBE she received in May 2022 for services to charities and vulnerable women.
Appearing on Today with Hoda & Janna, Mel revealed: ‘Victoria actually designed my dress and my mother’s dress. It’s such a great honor to receive.”
Mel revealed in September 2023 that Victoria was keen to design the dress, and it looks like the star has kept her word.
The singer also revealed that she is planning three outfit changes for her big day and is eyeing two more dresses.
She explained: ‘I don’t think it would be fair to only have one. Just take as many as you want, at least three, right?’
She said: ‘I’m really going for it. One to actually get married in, which is the proper ceremony – very appropriate in this church, St. Paul’s (Cathedral). And then maybe I want to change that and be a little less… You know, I don’t really know!’
