Matthew Perry Missing Finger has been a subject of heightened curiosity among fans of Friends. The peculiar detail about Perry’s hand was noticed by keen-eyed fans who were surprised that they had completely missed it in the past. A particular episode of Friends, “The One with All the Thanksgivings,” features a flashback where Perry’s character, Chandler Bing, is involved in an odd accident that leads to him losing his big toe.

This was a result of a sequence where Monica, in a bid to get back at Chandler for a previous comment about her weight, attempts to seduce him and accidentally drops a kitchen knife on his foot. After Monica mistakenly puts a carrot on ice instead of the tip of his toe, Chandler ends up losing his “pinky.” Chandler is left in shock when he finds out the real reason behind his toe loss.

Perry has also faced issues with addiction. After a jet-ski accident in 1997, he developed a Vicodin addiction and underwent a 28-day treatment program. During the following three years, he had significant weight fluctuations, with pancreatitis causing him to drop below 145 pounds. Perry entered rehab in 2001 due to addiction to alcohol, methadone, amphetamines, and Vicodin.

In 2013, the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy awarded him a Champion of Recovery for founding Perry House, a rehab facility, at his former Malibu, California mansion. Perry relocated the facility in 2015. Perry has always been open about his struggles, and his honesty has played a crucial role in raising awareness about addiction issues.
