A man jumped from a pedestrian bridge in Pathum Thani, resulting in his immediate death. The police are now working to contact his relatives for further investigation into the incident.
Police in Khlong Luang received a report of a fatal jump from a pedestrian overpass near the entrance of Soi Khlong Luang 29 on Phahonyothin Road. The incident occurred on the outbound side of the road in Khlong Nueng subdistrict, Khlong Luang district.
Responding to the scene, officers including Waranchai Sukying and Montree Kong-art, along with patrol officers, investigators, forensic doctors from Thammasat University Hospital, and rescue workers from Poh Teck Tung Foundation, arrived promptly.
At the scene, rescue workers were performing CPR on the man who had jumped from the overpass onto the road below. The man, dressed in long jeans and a short-sleeved black shirt, was found with a Wiko brand mobile phone. Despite the efforts, paramedics from Thammasat University Hospital confirmed the man had died from his injuries. A pair of green flip-flops was discovered on the overpass, believed to belong to the deceased.
Phairat Uthai, a 49 year old security guard at a nearby company, recounted hearing a loud thud while standing at his security post. Upon investigation, he saw a Myanmar worker pointing towards the road, indicating where the man had fallen. Phairat immediately directed traffic to prevent further accidents and notified the police, reported KhaoSod.
Waranchai stated that the scene was documented, and the deceased was transferred to the forensic unit at Thammasat University Hospital by Poh Teck Tung Foundation officers. Police are now seeking to contact the deceased’s relatives to gather more information and understand the circumstances leading to this tragic event.
