In the first photo of the family opening presents on the dining room floor, she wrote, “Happy Birthday” as she tagged him.
‘Your mom is proud of you. Happy birthday,” she added with a second photo of him and his 17-year-old brother Amari, who has epilepsy.
The caption refers to the NBA star’s mother, Andrea, who suffered a heart attack at her home in Toronto last January.

Thompson is officially Amari’s legal guardian. According to court documents obtained by TODAY.com, a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge granted Thompson’s request for custody of Amari on February 26, 2024.
