Former The Kansoul member and Gengeton rapper Madtraxx, has addressed allegations of domestic violence made by his estranged wife, Salma Hussein.
The accusations emerged on June 7 when Hussein took to Instagram, posting a series of photos and documents that appeared to show evidence of severe physical abuse.
Hussein’s Instagram post included images of a black eye, a swollen face, and bruises on her hands. She accused Madtraxx of being a “woman abuser.”
“Never have I thought I’ll be beaten in my life… but I married an animal!! Y’all superstar Madtraxx!” She wrote,
“My whole life I’m battling anxiety, fear, and trauma!! Just because of this guy!! #10 years with a woman abuser!”
Hussein also shared a doctor’s report and a police OB report dating back to 2021. The documents described ecchymosis around her left eye, bruising on her upper limbs and knees, soft tissue injury to the head, and scratch marks on her left leg, suggesting a history of abuse.
The couple, who share two daughters, tied the knot in 2018 in a lowkey ceremony. The pair celebrated their fifth year marriage anniversary in December of 2023.
Madtraxx marked the day with by posting a picture with his wife.
He captioned, “Happy Anniversary to us my love. Five years is such a blessing. I love having you as my queen through this journey. Love you.”
Madtraxx Responds
Madtraxx has since responded to the damning allegations. While he did not deny ever being abusive, he refuted claims of any ongoing abuse.
The artist suggested that Hussein’s expose was an attention-seeking mission as they had separated.
“I do not want to add fuel to the fire. But I think she is hurting because we have separated and she is looking for a way to grab my attention. But, am not going to fall for it.” He said.
The artist insisted that Hussein was attempting to reopen past issues.
“Those are old photos, she is bringing up the past. We were in a toxic cycle. And am not there anymore. She is trying to get a reaction out of me.” Madtraxx told Ankali Ray.
Madtraxx further stated, “I do not know what she is trying to achieve. She’s trying to get a reaction out of me. It is all in the past and now she’s trying to bring it back up to drag me into her toxic trail.”
He stressed that the incidents Hussein mentioned are not recent and believes she is upset because they have separated.
The rapper confirmed that he and Hussein have been separated for some time. He said, “We separated, and it has been a while. I have the kids, she left home and disappeared.“
