The project manager, 22, broke out into fits of laughter in the night as he revealed he was ‘keeping his feelings close to his chest.’
While laid in bed beside former partner Jess Harding, he muttered: ‘It’s scary, those feelings. I’m like br br br br br br.’
Before adding: ‘I’m keeping my feelings close to my chest.’
Fans of the show were amused by Sammy’s nighttime mumbling, with one person posting on Twitter: ‘Sammy speaking more sense in his sleep than when he’s awake lmfaooo.’

On Friday night Love Island fans saw a dramatic recoupling that left two couples shaken.
Bombshells Ella Barnes and Josh Brocklebank arrived in the villa this week and they were seen coupling-up with Mitchel Taylor and Jess Harding respectively.
The moment left Mitchel’s ex Abi Moores quaking as she was left reeling at watching Mitch get to know Ella B, while Jess was disappointed to have been stolen by Josh from her show partner Sammy Root.
Championship dancer and model Ella, 23, entered the villa along with fellow bombshell Josh, 26, during Thursday’s episode after Catherine Agbaje and Elom Ahlijah were dumped from the villa.

After her arrival, it emerged Emma B already knew Tyrique Hyde after they first met on nights out and chatted over social media years ago.
The news left Tyrique’s partner Ella Thomas shaken, with Ella B predicting there would be a ‘battle of the Ellas’ if she chose to set her sights on Tyrique.
However, while Ella B chose to leave Tyrique in his existing couple, fans predicted she would feel the wrath of Abi Moores after Ella B stole her man Mitchel in the recoupling.
Meanwhile, newcomer Josh chose to couple-up with Jess Harding after the pair went on a date when he first arrived in the villa.
Josh’s choice meant she was stolen from Sammy, which Jess admitted she wasn’t impressed with.
However, fans of the show took to Twitter as they begged Jess to stick with Josh as they predicted he would treat her better than Sammy.

Another said: ‘I wish Jess would explore things with Josh,’ while a third penned: ‘Don’t listen to the girls Jess!! Talk to Josh, he actually fancies you!’
