Kylie Minogue reveals next Tension single as she celebrates the album topping the charts in Australia and the UK: ‘It’s one of my favourites’

Kylie Minogue has hinted at the next official single from her new album Tension.

Appearing on The Chrissie Swan Show this week, seemed to confirm that Hold On To Now would be Tension’s next single after a fan called for the song to be released.

‘Would you go with that, what are you thinking for the third single?’ he asked Kylie.

Responding affirmatively, she said, ‘I would a hundred per cent go with that. It’s one of my favourites on the album.’

Despite not being an official single yet, Hold On To Now has already entered the UK top 100 thanks to streams and downloads.

It comes after Tension debuted at No. 1 in both Australia and the UK.

In the UK, the album has been so successful that it outsold the rest of the top five combined in its opening week.

Kylie celebrated the song’s success by thanking fans on social media.

‘THANK YOU to everyone who bought it, streamed it and made it YOURS,’ she exclaimed.

Tension is Kylie’s fourth consecutive No. 1 album in Australia and eighth overall.  

In a statement, ARIA CEO, Annabelle Herd, said: ‘It’s a thrill to see an ARIA Hall of Fame artist continue to dominate, reinvent and represent Australian music on such a global scale. We can’t wait to celebrate her success at this year’s awards.’

Tension is also predicted to debut at No. 20 on the Billboard 200, which will make it her most successful album in America in over a decade.
