The late Kirstie Alley’s lavish Clearwater, Florida mansion has officially sold for $5.2 million – after being put on the market earlier this year in February for $5.95 million.

The Cheers actress died late last year, in December 2022, after a secret battle with colon cancer at the age of 71. Her shock death was announced by her two children: son William, 31, and daughter Lillie, 29.

The estate – which was confirmed to have been sold by Realtor.com – specifically features nine bedrooms, 10 bathrooms and a heated swimming pool in the spacious backyard.

The star initially purchased the home in 2000 for $1.5 million, with the previous owner being the late Lisa Marie Presley.

Surrounded by a 200-foot wall and trees for privacy, the 7,185-square-foot mansion also has three levels to provide ample space for residents and guests.

There are also three balconies and a front courtyard with a fireplace offering a warm welcome.

The foyer is open and well lit, while the inside of the house has wooden floors and numerous windows allowing plenty of natural sunlight to flood in.

The waterfront mansion also comes with an 60-foot dock and a separate guesthouse on the property. Before her death, Kirstie was treated near Tampa at the Moffit Cancer Center.

The house is located in the city of Clearwater, which has been the spiritual home of Scientology since 1975.

Both Alley and Presley were Scientologists during their lifetimes, although Presley is believed to have left the controversial religion in 2014.

In March 2001, less than a year after she became the owner, Alley sold the house to a woman named Carol A. Berc. Tampa Bay Times.

Online records show Alley regained ownership in 2008 after buying it back for $1.8 million.

On December 5, 2022, Alley’s children announced the news of her death on the star’s social media pages. The actress is said to have later died at the Florida home.

“She was surrounded by her immediate family and fought with great strength, giving us the assurance of her endless zest for life and whatever adventures lay ahead,” the post continued, alongside a photo of Kirstie.

William and Lillie added that “she was an even more wonderful mother and grandmother. We are grateful to the wonderful team of physicians and nurses at Moffitt Cancer Center for their care.”

“The zest and passion of our mother, her children, grandchildren and her many animals, not to mention her eternal joy in creating, were unparalleled and inspired us to live life to the fullest, just like she did.”

Social media users and other celebrities shared tributes to the late actress, including John Travolta. The pair most notably starred in Look Who’s Talking (1989) and its sequels.

The Grease actor shared throwback images of Alley, writing, “Kirstie was one of the most special relationships I’ve ever had. I love you Kirsti. I know we will see each other again.’

Jamie Lee Curtis also paid tribute on Instagram, typing: ‘Just heard the sad news that Kirstie Alley has passed away.’

‘She was a great cartoon character on @tvscreamqueens and a beautiful mama bear in her real life. She helped me buy onesies for my family for Christmas that year. We agreed to disagree on some things, but we had mutual respect and connection. Sad news.’

After her tragic death, Kirstie’s remains were cremated, according to a death certificate obtained by We weekly.

Alley was known for starring in several projects, including the hit NBC series Cheers, in which she portrayed the character of Rebecca Howe. Notably, for her performance, the actress won an Emmy for her role.

She also appeared in films such as Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982), For Richer or Poorer (1997) and also Drop Dead Beautiful (1999).

Months before her death, the star notably took part in the show The Masked Singer in April 2022.

Kirstie was also the spokesperson for Jenny Craig from 2004 to 2007, where she lost 35 kilos. She returned as a spokesperson for the company in 2014 and revealed that the program had helped her lose 50 pounds after gaining weight.

The star also appeared in Ryan Murphy’s series Scream Queens from 2015 to 2016.

Kirstie was previously married to her high school sweetheart, Bob Alley, from 1970 to 1977, and later to Baywatch actor Parker Stevenson from 1983 to 1997. She adopted her two children, William and Lillie, after a miscarriage.
