Katie Holmes and her hunky talent agent Jeremy Barber fueled romance rumors after sharing a friendly hug on a stroll in New York City on Saturday morning.
However, by later that day, her representative had informed Page Six that the two of them had a strictly platonic equation.
As they were spotted embracing on the sidewalk Saturday, the Dawson’s Creek actress, 44, beamed with joy as she wrapped her arms around Barber’s shoulders as he cradled a cup of iced coffee.
The pair enjoyed an animated conversation as they walked around together, and at one point, both were overcome with laughter.
While the mother-of-one told a lively story, Barber paid close attention to her every word as he smiled and nodded along.

For their laid-back outing, the Alone Together star cut a casual figure in a white t-shirt, long grey skirt, black oversized shades and a pair of Adidas sneakers.
Eventually, she pulled back her glossy brunette locks in a flirty ponytail, after seemingly working up a sweat from the humidity.
Barber looked handsome in a black padded best over a coordinating long sleeve, charcoal grey slacks, tennis shoes and glasses.
Holmes’ rep insists that she and Barber have a strictly professional as he is a Partner in the Motion Picture Literary and Talent Departments (UTA).
In December, Holmes and production company, Lafayette Pictures, signed with his talent agency, which also represents Johnny Depp, Harrison Ford and Charlize Theron.
In April, she wrapped her time performing in the off-Broadway show, The Wanderers.
The versatile performer portrayed a movie star, who contacts a married novelist, and their interaction later puts the man’s marriage to the test.
The stage production marked her third time sharing her talents on the stage. She made her Broadway debut in 2008 in a revival of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons, and returned in 2012 in Dead Accounts.

Katie’s latest film, Rare Objects, which she directed, co-wrote and acted in, hit theaters on April 14.

Last year, she and her ex-boyfriend Bobby Wooten III split after nearly a year of dating.

Katie was previously linked to NYC chef Emilio Vitolo Jr. following her years-long romance with Academy Award winning actor Jamie Foxx.
She was famously married to actor Tom Cruise from 2006 until their finalized divorce in 2012. The former couple share 17-year-old daughter Suri.
