Katie Boulter has posted several photos on Instagram of her and her boyfriend Alex de Minaur celebrating the holidays.

The couple, who were the talk of Wimbledon earlier this year, were photographed on Boulter’s Instagram posing in matching Christmas jumpers alongside a number of friends and family members.

But as the pair prepare for Christmas, they will have one eye on the start of the new tennis season, which will interestingly see Boulter and De Minaur go head-to-head in the United Cup for the first time in their careers.

The pair featured mainly in the mixed doubles at Wimbledon earlier this season, with the pair progressing to the second round of the All England Championships before being defeated by Yifan Xu and Joran Vliegen.

Nevertheless, it was an impressive performance from the pair who had never played competitively together before the tournament.

When De Minaur heard the news, he poked fun at his girlfriend on social media, writing “officially enemies now”, while Boulter hit back, claiming: “Well this is going to end well.”

It has been a successful season for both players, with Boulter beating Jodie Burrage to claim her first win on the WTA Tour at the Rothesay Open in Nottingham earlier this year.

Meanwhile, De Minaur won in Acapulco earlier this year and also finished second in several tournaments, including the ATP 500 in Queens and the ATP 1000 in Toronto.
