Kate Hudson celebrated her son Ryder Robinson’s 20th birthday on Monday by sharing a photo of his birthday cake on her Instagram account.

The 44-year-old actress had a cake with a photo from her eldest child’s early years printed on the top to commemorate his special day.

The artist – who opened up about the difficulty of producing rom-coms – also wrote a short message that read: ‘I just need to let this one digest… My beautiful boy, happy 20th. I love you more.’

Ryder’s birthday was also commemorated by Hudson’s former fiancée, Matt Bellamy, who shared a photo with the actress’ son on his Instagram account.

In the snap, the Muse frontman was sitting next to him courtside while watching a Los Angeles Lakers game.

Hudson shares her son with her former husband Chris Robinson, whom she married in December 2000.

The former couple started their family with the birth of Ryder, which occurred four years later, and they divorced in 2007.

The performer spoke about her children during an interview with The Sunday times and said she was happy to have been able to raise a large family.
