A popular deejay was killed after being stabbed by an armed mugger in Lucky Summer estate, Kasarani.
Johnson Karuga aka DJKQ was on his way home when he was confronted by his killer who wanted to rob him of his money and other valuables. Karuga resisted, prompting the stabbing. The attacker then escaped on foot with Karuga’s phone.
The deejay was rushed to hospital where he died while receiving treatment. Police who visited the scene of crime recovered a blood-stained knife suspected to have been used to commit the murder.
Confirming the incident, Kasarani police boss said the attack was being investigated and that no arrest had been made. He further stated that more police officers had been deployed to the area to tame incidents of violent crime.
The family of Karagu is crying for justice. One of the family members termed the incident unfortunate as it robbed the family of a loving and caring man who has been supporting his sons. The relatives demand full investigation and prosecution of the perpetrator.
