Karl Rove shoots down Bill Maher’s ‘crazy’ suggestion Biden should replace Kamala Harris with GOP’s Nikki Haley to form 2024 ‘unity ticket’: ‘Ain’t ever going to happen’

Karl Rove has rejected Bill Maher’s admittedly “crazy” request for Nikki Haley to replace Kamala Harris on the Democratic ticket.

The 73-year-old Fox employee made the comments Monday, stifling a laugh as he said, “It will never happen.”

Maher, 68, made the suggestion three days earlier, 48 hours after Republican Haley, 52, withdrew from the race.

Maher, for his part, called a ticket with both Joe Biden and the ex-South Carolina governor a “dream” — one that would guarantee a victory in November.

Rove responded by throwing cold water on the commentator’s claims, calling them “innovative” before ultimately shooting them down.

“Well, Bill Maher has an innovative mind,” Rove said on Monday’s episode of The Story on Fox News, after guest host Trace Gallagher asked him for his thoughts on Haley’s future.

“But Democrats will never get rid of Kamala Harris,” he continued. “And they will never put Nikki Haley, a conservative, on the map.”

“So, Bill, nice idea, but this isn’t going to happen.”

Maher, meanwhile, has said Biden should drop out of the race altogether, citing his divisions within the Democratic party and his advanced age.

He sang a slightly different tune with Bill Maher on Real Time on Friday, calling a Biden-Haley “unity ticket” a fast track to the White House.

First, he touched on how the Indian-American candidate was defeated by Donald Trump on Super Tuesday.

“Nikki Haley, well, Super Tuesday – dropped out of the race,” the outspoken progressive began.

“I don’t think there’s a future for her in the Republican Party now.”

He continued, “I know it’s crazy to think she could run with Biden — but that’s my dream: a unity ticket.

“And then, I think, he would definitely win.”

The claim confused many onlookers – those versed in the subject and some not.

Among them was Rove, who said Monday that Haley would be the first to reject Maher’s proposal.

“Nikki Haley would be the first to say I’m not going to do it,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, in a victory speech at Truth Social, Trump went out of his way to attack the woman seen by many as his last remaining competitor following the abrupt departures of Ron DeSantis and Vivek Ramaswamy.

Go to the platform On Wednesday morning, he claimed the Republican rioter “was defeated.”

“Nikki Haley was defeated in record-breaking fashion last night, despite the Democrats, for unknown reasons, being allowed to vote in Vermont and several other Republican primaries,” he wrote on Truth Social.

Much of her money came from radical left Democrats, as did many of her voters, almost 50 percent, according to the polls.

‘Right now I hope she stays in the “race” and fights it out to the end!’

Haley announced she was ending her campaign from her base in South Carolina. But while Trump nearly clinched the administration with victories, his former U.N. ambassador secured more than 20 percent and 30 percent of the vote in a slew of states, reinforcing her argument that the Republican front-runner does not represent the entire party.

The Biden campaign sees an opening to sway moderates and swing voters, and he appealed to its supporters to support him.

“Donald Trump has made it clear he doesn’t want Nikki Haley supporters. “I want to be clear: There is a place for them in my campaign,” Biden said.

Maher, meanwhile, said: “I know it's crazy to think she could run with Biden – but that's my dream: a unity ticket.

The campaign posted its message minutes after Trump’s post, in which he mocked Haley and tried to call on her supporters to join him.

“I would like to thank my family, friends and the great Republican Party for helping us create by far the most successful Super Tuesday in history, and would further invite all Haley supporters to join the largest movement Close. in the history of our nation,” he concluded in an all-caps message.

For her part, Haley said Trump should earn the votes of her supporters. She did not support her former boss.

“It is now up to Donald Trump to earn the votes of those in our party and beyond who did not support him. And I hope he does,” she said.

‘At its best, politics is about bringing people into your cause, not rejecting them. And our conservative cause desperately needs more people.”

Her departure means Trump is assured of the nomination, even though it seemed up for grabs since the Iowa caucuses in January.
