A whole host of their showbiz friends took to the comment section to share their congratulations.

Jess Wright wrote: ‘Congratulations guys’, while TV doctor Dr Ranj Singh said: ‘Congrats you beautiful bunch’.

Strictly star Adam Thomas typed: ‘Guys xxxxx’.

Last week, Hannah revealed she was eating spicy food to try and induce her labour.

Hannah ordered a hot Nandos and wrote on Instagram: ‘Screw the vindaloo, proud I managed HOT if I’ll be honest I might go Extra HOT next time!?’

She also admitted she was watching some ‘food porn’ to try and raise her Oxytocin levels in the hopes of inducing her birth.

The happy news comes after Joel revealed the birth could potentially clash with his television commitments.

The star presented at the National Television Awards on September 5, and the comedian revealed the show could coincide with this baby’s arrival.

Exciting: The happy news comes after Joel revealed the birth could potentially clash with his television commitments but luckily the crisis plan was averted at the NTA Awards this month

Joel previously told how NTA bosses had a crisis plan in place in case his heavily pregnant wife Hannah went into labour during the ceremony, with a second host on standby.

But the back-up plan wasn’t needed and Joel successfully helmed the show, with Holly Willoughby saying on Wednesday’s This Morning that they hadn’t heard any baby news from Joel yet.

Speaking with comedians Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe on their podcast Parenting Hell last week, Joel confessed that the NTA’s are ‘fairly soon to the due date.’

Speaking of the crisis plan ahead of the ceremony, Joel told how a standby host would be waiting in the wings in case he need to run off stage mid-ceremony.

He told Fleur East on her Hits Radio Breakfast Show: ‘Hannah is very much ready to give birth! She hasn’t given birth as of now so that’s great news for me as I’m sure the production team are ready to replace me at any moment.’

Joel continued: ‘I think I have a stand in, but they won’t tell me who it is. I assume they’ll be there tonight but that’s the best thing about the NTA’s – if it does happen during the ceremony everyone who could replace me is there right in front of me!’

He went on to share another reason why Hannah won’t be on the red carpet, explaining: ‘At the moment we think she’s just going to come and hang in the dressing room because – I’ll be honest on Hits Radio – we couldn’t find a dress.

‘And she’s so pregnant now – she’s six foot tall and essentially with another human being underneath her stomach – and dresses don’t come in that size. You put them on and you look like Mrs Doubtfire.’

Joel previously revealed he’d be skipping the official NTAs afterparty to have his own own post-awards bash to be with his heavily pregnant wife.

Baby on the way! The couple revealed that they were expecting their first child back in May, posting snaps of Hannah’s growing baby bump

The couple married in 2019 after three years together, in an idyllic ceremony Mykonos, officiated by their friend Iain Stirling.

Discussing the pregnancy, Joel also confirmed that Hannah was doing well, but was having trouble sleeping, so he’s been reading aloud to her.

‘Hannah can’t fall asleep because she’s pregnant so she likes for me to read to her so she falls asleep easily,’ revealed Joel.

‘It’s also quite good actually because she falls asleep and I get autocue practice!’

The star said the couple have been reading a lot of baby books in preparation for becoming parents, including Rob and Josh’s spin-off book from the podcast.

Joel also confirmed he and his wife have been trying hypnobirthing and listening to the recordings during breakfast.

The couple revealed that they were expecting their first child back in May with Joel admitting he had ‘no idea what he was doing.’

Hannah admitted she was worried he would see their baby as another comedy audience member and told how she was looking for a birth partner so Joel doesn’t ‘p**s her off’.

According to The Sun, he said: ‘I really have no idea what I’m doing, but I think, hopefully, I’ll be a fun dad.’

Hannah then revealed that Joel didn’t know what dilation meant in labour, with the TV star admitting: ‘I’m still learning.’

Joel and Hannah met after she slid into his DMs following his 2016 appearance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, sending him a heart eye emoji.

Joel and Hannah announced their engagement in December 2017 after a year of dating, and in May 2019 confirmed that they had purchased their first house together.

In 2018, he told Metro.co.uk: ‘This is the person I want to spend the rest of my life with. It’s easy. Nothing feels difficult about talking about the future.’
