Joe Ageyo Appointed to Grand Post at NTV After Exiting Citizen Tv in 2022

One and half years after his exit from Citizen TV, renowned journalist Joe Ageyo has made his comeback to the local screens.

This was after the Nation Media Group on Tuesday, announced that it had appointed Ageyo as their editor-in-chief in the Editorial Department. The station went ahead to reveal that Ageyo’s new roles include being responsible for the operationalization of the newsroom integration and taking charge of the Group’s editorial arm of the business.

In this role, Joe will be responsible for the operationalization of the newsroom integration and take charge of the Group’s editorial arm of the business. He will also be in charge of the overall responsibilities for the station’s Editorial operations across all its platforms.

In March 2022, the former Royal Media Services Editorial Director said that he was leaving the S.K Macharia-owned media group “an extremely proud man”.

In his final remarks on Citizen TV show, News Gang, Ageyo said he was lucky to have had the opportunity to lead the most capable TV team in the country, as well as the most diverse team on the radio.

“I leave tonight an extremely proud man, proud of the mountains we’ve scaled together here, proud of any shoulders thee were to lean on when the ride took us to the valley,” he said.

Ageyo served as Editorial Director at RMS for the past four years, and added that he was leaving to answer to a new calling.
