Jeremy Renner recalls having ‘great chats’ with pal Robert Downey Jr. in the ICU while recovering from near-fatal snowplow accident last year

Jeremy Renner revealed that Robert Downey Jr. kept his spirits up after his snowplow accident in 2023 during a new interview with People.

The 53-year-old entertainer told media that his 58-year-old friend and former castmate visited him regularly as he recovered from various injuries sustained in the incident.

“He said, ‘Dude, the most important thing is that you look good.’ I don’t care how you feel, as long as you look good, that’s all that matters,” he recalled.

The actor also revealed that the Oppenheimer actor and his wife, Susan Downey, were also big fans of Mayor of Kingstown and noted that his friend wanted him to recover quickly so he could continue working on the program.

“He said, ‘You have to go back and be mayor because we have to see what happens. His demeanor is very heart-warming,” he said.
