Jelly Roll’s private jet had to make an emergency landing during a trip to Austin, Texas, for the 2024 CMT Music Awards.

The 39-year-old singer, who recently underwent transformative dental work, was on his way from Los Angeles for Sunday’s awards ceremony when his private plane was forced to turn around.

On TikTok, she shared a video of the captain explaining the situation to them with the caption: “Our plane we were on just stopped in mid-air and turned around for an emergency landing.”

While waiting for the all clear in the airport lounge, the YouTube star asked her husband, “Hey dad, what’s going on?”

The native Tennessean replied, “Oh! The plane just turned around. They turned the plane around. They said it was a computer problem.’

“And they want us to get back on it,” she said, before Jelly Roll joked: “At least it wasn’t the brakes.”

No word on how long it took to get the plane into the air, but the influencer shared a video of the second attempt as they taxied down the runway.

“Alright LA, let’s try this again, Austin, here we come!” she wrote about the video.

The flight arrived safely and the Almost Home singer and his crew even had time to get to the Moody Center, where preparations had already been made for the Sunday, April 7, ceremonies.

Bunnie XO shared clips of empty folding chairs with their photos on them in the VIP area.

Jelly Roll has a chance to win three prizes; Video of the Year, Best Video by a Male Artist and CMT Performance of the Year for Need a Favor, which he introduced at last year’s show.

At the 2023 awards, he won the coveted award for Best New Artist.
