Jamiroquai’s Jay Kay was spotted taking in the sights of Venice on a romantic getaway with wife Maria this week.

The singer, 53, was busy capturing the scenery with his camera as the couple strolled through the historic streets before enjoying a trip along the canal.

Jay cut a casual figure in a T-shirt and shorts and could be seen puffing on a cheeky cigarette during the outing.

Meanwhile Maria, who shares daughters Carla, eight, and Tallula, six, with her husband, put on a leggy display in a black polkadot mini-dress.

The stunner slipped her feet into a pair of white sandals and shielded her eyes behind a pair of oversized shades.

The trip comes following the singer offering a reward after an automated hat needed for their festival run was left on a train.

Jay Kay is a massive fan of hats and was planning to wear the headgear gigs in Czech Republic, Italy and Lancashire.

But the flashing light-up hat was ‘lost in transit’ on a train between London King’s Cross and Luton, Beds back in June.

A post across the band’s social media said: ‘Have you seen this hat? Calling all eagle eyed commuters and residents of north London.

‘Lost in transit on a train from Kings Cross to Luton, the Automaton hat has gone walkabout.

‘Cased in an orange plastic waterproof box (see photo), the hat is non functioning and was on its way for repair in advance of Jamiroquai’s headline festival run which starts later this month.

‘The hat is fragile and we miss it badly, reward offered for information leading to its return.

The hat features on the front of the Automaton album, Jamiroquai’s eighth album released in March 2017, as well as in the music video for the song of the same name.

Jay is known for his hat obsession – he is rarely seen without one in the band’s videos and promo shots.

Fans rushed to offer their support on Facebook.

One said: ‘Sorry to hear. Hope you find it. Please put a GPS tracker on that case plus an AirTag in the hat next time.’

‘Oh noes! Jay Kay has lost his superpowers!’ another said.

And another offered help, saying: ‘Is this the hat Charlie Nicholson designed? I’m a lighting/ automation designer. If It doesn’t turn up, I’ll throw my ‘hat’ into the ring to design something new & better!’

Meanwhile others joked: ‘Reckon it’s travelling without moving,’ said one, while another quipped: ‘Maybe it is back in 7 days in sunny June?’
