Jack Fincham is seen for the first time since his 'arrest on suspicion of drug-driving and using false plates' as Love Island star denies being charged

Jack Fincham stepped out with his dog on Thursday after denying any wrongdoing following a reported arrest for drug-driving and using false number plates.

Dressed casually in a blue polo shirt, shorts and trainers, Jack, 31, was seen talking on his mobile phone while walking the family pet Elvis, a rescue dog whose ears were cropped by its former owner, close to his Kent home.

The former Love Island winner insists he has not been charged with any offence after an alleged incident on the A2, near Dartford, on August 26, during which The Sun report he was arrested for drug-driving and using false plates.

His solicitor Conor Johnstone, from Maj Law firm, said he understands the number plates on Fincham’s vehicle were private plates, not false plates, and the TV star vehemently denies all allegations made against him.

He also said the TV personality is considering lodging a formal complaint against the police after becoming a “target” by local police.

He told the PA news agency: ‘Mr. Fincham has not been charged with drug driving and denies any drug consumption whatsoever.

‘There is no evidence at this stage that Mr. Fincham drove whilst over the legal limit and we are hopeful that his blood results will prove the same.

‘Mr. Fincham does feel as though he has become a target of Kent Police in recent months and is considering lodging a complaint against the force.’

It comes after a similar incident in 2021, when Jack was arrested on suspicion of drug-driving offences and later pleaded not guilty at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ court in Kent.

Johnstone, who also represented him in those matters, said that days before the trial in December, the prosecution dropped the case citing insufficient evidence.

In a statement on Thursday, Kent Police said: ‘On Saturday 26 August 2023, officers arrested a 31-year-old man from Swanley on suspicion of drug driving, careless driving, driving without insurance and driving while displaying false number plates, on the A2 near Dartford.

‘He has since been bailed until 26 November 2023.’

Jack won the 2018 series of hit ITV2 dating show Love Island with ex-girlfriend Dani Dyer, daughter of former EastEnders actor Danny Dyer.

He later swapped a career in reality TV for boxing, with an upcoming fight against Geordie Shore’s Aaron Chalmers.

A source close to Jack added the reality star denies taking drugs and was using private plates rather than false ones.

MailOnline has contacted representatives and Kent Police for comment.

Jack is reportedly set to fly out to Fiji to appear on Love Island Games, the spin-off series where contestants enter a villa in their quest to find love.

Back in July, the TV personality revealed he had split from his girlfriend Jodie Ella.

Speaking as part of the Original Penguin X Campaign Against Living Miserably Under The Surface podcast, he alluded to a villa return in the wake of Adam Collard and Kady McDermott’s explosive comebacks.

When asked about Kady, Jack, who was recently linked to Chloe Brockett and Frankie Sims before his romance with Jodie, said: ‘Oh yeah of course I’d go back on the show. I’d love to. It’s like a perfect environment to meet someone…

‘You haven’t got to worry about your phone or going to work or cooking! I’m not just trying to get out of work but yeah, I’d go back on the show in a heartbeat.’

While he admitted he ‘gets a lot of attention’, Jack confessed he is ready to find lasting love, saying: ‘But actually I’m kind of ready to find someone…

‘[I want to] spend time with them. My little brother is 28 and he’s been with his girlfriend for nine years and I think wow I’d love that now.’

In 2019, Jack shockingly confessed that he doesn’t know if he’s ever been in love, despite dating Dani for nearly a year.

On Celebs Go Dating, Jack broke his silence on their split, as he explained that he thinks they moved too fast after they left the Love Island villa.

As dating agents Anna Williamson and Paul C Brunson asked if he’d ever been in love, Jack admitted: ‘I don’t know now’.

He added: ‘I had three serious girlfriends long-term… and you know, being with them, I’ve said “I love you” to all of them. Did I? I don’t know’.

He said: ‘If we had lived in Love Island forever, we’d have been fine. We rushed it straight away, we moved in together. I did want to [move in with her] but I wish we had waited.

‘I let her rush me a little bit. We had a genuine connection in there and I think anyone can see that. Honestly, and I mean this, I wish her all the happiness in the world.

‘I’m not a bitter person. Oh, 100 per cent I’m over Dani and now I want to go and meet someone. I’ve missed out on so much dating. I haven’t done it on over a year.’
