It won’t be long before The Inventor — a new stop-motion animated movie — comes to theaters. Luckily, we have you covered on all the ways you can watch this new flick!
Featuring voiceovers from Stephen Fry, Marion Cotillard, Daisy Ridley and Matt Berry, The Inventor is a biographical animation about Leonardo di Vinci’s life. The movie follows the artist and inventor as he leaves Italy for France, where he joins the French court and “experiments with flying contraptions, invents machines and studies the human body,” per the logline.

WHERE TO WATCH THE INVENTOR:
As of now, the only way to watch The Inventor is to head out to a movie theater when it releases on Friday, Sept. 15. You can find a local showing on Fandango. Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait until it becomes available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Vudu, Apple, YouTube and Amazon.
WHEN WILL THE INVENTOR BE STREAMING? WILL THE INVENTOR BE ON PRIME VIDEO?
While a digital release date for The Inventor has not yet been announced, we can make a guess based on another movie distributed by Blue Fox Entertainment. Mending the Line, which came to theaters on June 9, was released on digital platforms like Prime Video on Sept. 26 — just over three months after its debut. If The Inventor follows the same trajectory, it may not become available to rent or purchase until late December 2023 or early January 2024.
But if it sticks to the typical 45-day pattern most movies follow, you might be watching from the comfort of your living room by late October 2023.
