Inooro TV Presenter Hellen Muthoni Emotionally Marks 25-Year-Anniversary Of Losing Her Dad

Celebrated media personality and Kikuyu musician Hellen Muthoni has today marked 25 years since she lost her beloved dad in the August 7, 1998 bomb blast attack in Nairobi.

The sassy Inooro TV presenter infact marked the day in an emotional way, by penning a long message to her demised dad reminding him of how much he is missed.

In the heartfelt tribute, Hellen Muthoni also promised that she would name her child after the dad if she births a son.

“I look at young girls with their dads and sometimes I can’t help but wonder how life would have turned out with you in it! It’s exactly 25 yrs now since the Nairobi bomb blast – that took you away from me! 🥺

I hope and pray everyday – that I become a woman you would be proud of – that you would walk down the isle with pride, that you would smile every time someone calls you Baba Hellen…”.

The ‘Rurumuka’ show host added:

“I thank God he came through and became the dad I needed. Continue resting well papa 🕊 🤍. I can’t wait to have a son and name him after you.

From what I hear about you, I am so proud to be your daughter, you were a great mighty man who always rushed to help others and very successful in your craft.

Love you so much paps! ❤️❤️❤️”.

Hellen Muthoni also accompanied the emotional message with a photo of her late dad as shown below.

For those who may not know, her late dad was actually the one who held their family together.

This is because after he passed away during the 1998 bomb blast attack, her dad’s family ended up chasing them away from the family home.

This forced Hellen Muthoni, her two sisters and one brother to go and live with their grandmother who raised them.

Her move to mark 25 years since she lost her beloved dad also coincided with the 25-year-anniversary of the August 7, 1998 that was marked today in the country.

The commemoration was infact marked at the Memorial Park in Nairobi, and it was also attended by some leaders in the Azimio Coalition like Martha Karua and Kalonzo Musyoka.

The leaders called on the Kenyan Government and the US Government to work together, so as to compensate the victims and survivors of the attack.

In the 1998 bombing at Cooperative Bank house, 213 people were killed and 4,000 others were injured.
