An influencer is left stunned after discovering a trove of gold jewelry left behind in her mother’s home in Mexico.
US-based content creator Yolanda Diaz posted a TikTok as she discovered each item – ranging from earrings to bracelets and necklaces.
Yolanda humorously shared that “Mexican babies are trickling out” thanks to their parents gifting them so many “baby jewelry” as newborns.
In the video, she revealed her ‘deepest memories’ from her childhood and learned the sentimental stories behind the shiny gold pieces.

In the clip, which has been viewed more than 2.8 million times to date, Yolanda explained her reconnection with her roots provoked when her mother suddenly asked her, “Do you want to take your baby jewelry home?”
She continued, “Then she pulls out the coolest jewelry I’ve ever seen.”
She jumped right into the unexpected haul and said, “First, we have our baby bracelets.
“Mexican babies are being dripped out,” Yolanda explained, pointing to the gold chain, which she called a pulsera.
“I don’t know if this was mine, I don’t know if it was my brother, but it still fits on my wrist…”
The next item the content creator held up to the camera was an elephant ring, which evoked a nostalgic response.
‘This stirred up the deepest memory for me. The moment I saw it, it dawned on me that this was mine when I was little,” Yolanda said.
She explained that it now “almost doesn’t fit in any finger,” but said, “How beautiful is that? It’s a little elephant with a little ruby in it.’

Yolanda then showed off a second ring with “two small diamonds and a ruby on it,” commenting that it was “so beautiful” and confirming that she would “wear that today.”
While still in shock, she went on to explain that her mother “just….” casually has the most stunning little vintage watch she has never been worn.”
Yolanda promised to wear the timepiece “every day,” but the treasure didn’t stop there.
She held up a pair of gold earrings and said, “TThese are decades old. They are so beautiful. They come from Oaxaca, Mexico.”
Yolanda asked her mother about the story behind the earrings and when she heard it, her jaw dropped.
With a beaming smile, she told her 1.4 million followers: “They belonged to my great-grandmother, whose name was Celestina.
‘She gave them to my grandmother on her wedding day, my grandmother’s name was Delfina. How beautiful are their names?’

She continued, “Before my grandmother passed away, she gave these to my mother, who now gives them to me.
‘I keep them here, though, because they feel so delicate and fragile. I feel like they are safer here.”
Yolanda then held up “the coolest piece” her mother wanted her to take home: a gold-plated necklace with her name.
She shared: ‘I haven’t seen this in years.’
The content creator closed the video with the enthusiastic words, “This woman made me leak as a toddler. How cool is all that?’
