Salasya on his success

Salasya has never been shunned away from publically talking about his private life, especially his achievements.

In a statement on Thursday, September 19, 2024, the legislator shared his achievement describing it as a major success in his life.

The comic parliamentarian expressed pride in his commitment to not drinking alcohol during the day which he made earlier this year.

“I made a promise to myself I will never drink during the day. This is one of my biggest strengths of success,” he said.

In March 2024, during the government’s crackdown on illicit alcohol, Salasya advised Kenyans, particularly those who struggle with self-control around alcohol, to steer clear of drinking altogether.

His remarks came in support of the government’s efforts to shut down illegal alcohol establishments across the country.

He went on to express his support for the government’s initiative, emphasizing the need to close down these illicit alcohol outlets and arrest their operators.

“If you are out there and you know you are someone who cannot control alcohol, avoid it because alcohol can destroy your life. There are people who take alcohol, they go to joints very early in the name of ‘kutoa lock’, Salasya warned.

“I want to join the government to ensure that the illicit alcohol outlets selling during the day are all shut and owners arrested,” he added.
