Jamie Kah’s resurgence continued on the final day of the Melbourne Cup carnival, with the superstar jockey riding home three winners at Flemington.
Over the past year, Kah has overcome a terrifying racing fall and a white powder scandal that threatened her career, so the return to form is sure to silence her loudest critics.
Having already signaled her return to form with an impressive winning double on Victoria Derby Day, the 27-year-old showcased her exceptional skills on Champions Day, taking wins in three of the first five races.
Saturday’s treble takes her Flemington tally to an astonishing six wins.
Kah won the first two races of the day at General Beau and Watadeel, before guiding Deny Knowledge to win the Matriach Stakes.

Kah, a nine-time Group 1 winner, was left fighting for her life after suffering serious injuries in a fall at Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse on March 11.
“She’s as good a jockey as I’ve ever seen,” trainer Mick Kent said after the race.
“It was great to have Jamie there when she rode her last week and confident this week wanting to ride her again.
‘She is a beautiful rider and very relaxed. It’s the first winner she’s ridden for me, so I’m really happy to finally have one with her.”
The nine-time Group 1 winner suffered a horrific fall at Flemington in March, which left her with serious brain injuries.
When she came out of a five-day induced coma, Kah didn’t know who she was and had to Google her name to find some information about herself.
The injury kept her out of racing for five months, and she did not return to the saddle until August.
Kah was also charged with misconduct over a “white powder” controversy after photos appeared on social media in June appearing to show a line of a mystery substance.
The story broke just a day after she announced her return to racing.
The emergence of the controversial images cast a shadow over Kah’s long-awaited return to horse racing.

Stewards accused her and another woman of the photos, claiming they had broken the rule which states that ‘a person shall not engage in conduct prejudicial to the image, interests, integrity or welfare of racing, regardless whether that behavior takes place within a racecourse or not. elsewhere’.
“I’m working hard to get back to doing what I love, which is being a passionate and successful jockey,” Kah said afterwards.
“I will continue to focus on my physical and mental health and make a full recovery so I can get back to racing and be the best person I can be.”
