Holly Hagan hits back at body shaming trolls after workout video sparks debate on her cosmetic surgery: 'I know I look abnormal and horrendous'

Holly Hagan has hit back at body-shaming trolls after a workout video she posted online struck up a fierce debate.

The Geordie Shore star, 31, who gave birth to a son, Alpha-Jax, with her husband Jacob Blyth in June, has been hard at work in the gym trying to lose her ‘pregnancy weight’.

But after sharing a candid workout session, Holly noticed she had received hateful comments aimed at her postpartum figure, and in particular her non-surgical bum lift.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Holly spoke out about the backlash, telling trolls she was ‘fully aware’ of what she looked like and asked followers ‘what do you want me to do?’

She began: ‘I think my video yesterday striked (sic) some debate. I’m not sure why people think it’s some big secret that I had surgery eight years ago? I’ve literally spoken about it so many times.

‘But also I’m not really sure what people want me to do about it. Like I have a mirror. I’m fully aware of what I look like at the moment.

‘I know I look abnormal and horrendous – do you not think I see that every morning when I wake up?

‘And then to have so much attention brought to it, it’s like what do you guys want me to do, should I just hide for the next nine months until I get this weight off?’

She continued: ‘The only reason my bum has gone like that is because I’ve gained 50 pounds in pregnancy and I’m still 30lbs heavier, so once I lose that it will look absolutely fine again.

‘But obviously this is the consequences of my actions unfortunately. And to constantly have people point it out – it’s like should I start editing my photos? Because I know people will have something to say about that as well.

‘Or do I need to stick a sign on my head every time I do an exercise video and say oh by the way I had surgery eight years ago? If you’ve got eyes, I think it’s pretty glaringly obvious that it’s not a natural shape.

‘I’m already feeling really uncomfortable in the way that I look at the moment, I’m already feeling quite self conscious so is it necessary? I thought it would be funny to post that video and give people a bit of a laugh.

It comes after Holly recently revealed she was forced to rush baby son Alpha-Jax to doctors after discovering a worrying rash on his neck and face.

The reality star recalled the terrifying incident in a candid Instagram Stories post last month before giving fans an update the tot’s health.

Holly cuddled her sleepy son in bed saying: ‘I woke up this morning, well an hour ago, and came in and he had phoned the doctors this morning and they got him in straight away’.

‘So we took him down and told them everything and they looked at his rash, because he’s got a little rash on his face and around his neck,’

She continued: ‘But apparently they’ve said it’s nothing to worry about and they prescribed some infant Gaviscon’.

According to the NHS, the medication is prescribed to newborns to help to prevent gastric reflux which causes trapped wind and can lead to a rash and discomfort.

Holly went on to say that some fans had warned her the reflux suppressant medication may in fact cause the little one more problems and lead to constipation.

The new mum later shared an update writing: ‘Had 100s of DMs suggestions thank you so much for taking the time to help!’.

‘What I notice from the messages is what works for one won’t work for another and it’s just a case of trail and error riling things out 1 by 1’.

‘We have used [baby formula] Kendamill and have given him [colic drops] Infacol since week 1 and Infacol helps with trapped wind but not his digestion by the looks of it’.

‘He cries and pushes the trapped wind the sound is totally different to what he’s doing now and he’s really regular with his poos and are you even a mam if you haven’t googled different types of baby poo to make sure it’s normal’.

She continued: ‘We’re back at the doctor next week so we will discuss changing his milk and possibly anti reflux or comport’.

‘He doesn’t have any symptoms of milk allergy, you can usually tell that by their poos but I won’t rule it out completely’.

Holly concluded: ‘Aside from that he’s the happiest baby and no bother, he rarely cries unless he is super tired! We’re both getting an uninterrupted 6 hours sleep with out shifts so I am thankful for that’.

Before adding: ‘Will keep you updated if anything works x’.

The star confirmed the news she had given birth in an Instagram post, shortly after her labour in Greater Manchester.

Sharing a short post, she wrote: ‘Here’s here! We’re doing amazing. Little hospital update will be on my blog tomorrow morning.

‘Huge thank you to the incredible staff at Wythenshawe Hospital. I couldn’t have wished for a better birth experience. Just enjoying our little baby bubble.’

Holly announced she was welcoming her first child in January, six months after marrying National League footballer Jacob in a summer Ibiza wedding.

Announcing the news in an video with OK! magazine, Holly told Jacob: ‘Your patience, strength and resilience inspire me every single day and I couldn’t think of a strong role model for our future children.’

The video then cut to Jacob unwrapping a present which contained a positive pregnancy test, leading to a shocked reaction from the footballer.
