Harry, Meghan not invited to royal gathering marking one year since Queen Elizabeth’s death: report

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been snubbed from the Royal Family’s gathering marking one year since the death of Queen Elizabeth II, according to a report.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not received invitations to the intimate event at Balmoral Castle on Sept. 8 — despite being in Europe for the Invictus Games the following day.

The exiled royals, whose rift with the Firm rages on, are set to touchdown in Düsseldorf, Germany just 24 hours after the royals meet in Balmoral.

“There hasn’t been any outreach to them,” a source told The Sun.

The pair’s trip to Germany will mark their first joint European appearance since the late monarch’s funeral on Sept. 19, 2022.

“You can read the room on that as to where things are [between them],” another source told the Daily Mail. “It’s sad, but it is what it is. This is a family as well as an institution.”

Charles, 74, and Camilla, 76, will kickstart their three-week summer vacation on August 21, and will be joined by Prince William, Princess Kate, and their three children.

It’s reported that scandal-scarred Prince Andrew will also be joining the family’s annual vacation with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.

It was previously reported that while Charles didn’t personally invite Harry and Meghan to this year’s trip to Balmoral, he did keep their names on the list of invitees.

It seems as though the monarch ultimately decided to keep the gathering as intimate as possible, sans the Sussexes.

Tensions between the Firm and the Sussexes had reached an all-time high after the couple hightailed it across the pond in a desperate quest for “privacy.”

The decision to step down as senior members of the royal family was followed by a move to Canada, before the pair ultimately settled down in Montecito, California.

Their move sparked several high-publicity projects such as their six-part Netflix documentary, their bombshell sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey, and Harry’s protocol-shattering memoir, “Spare.”

Charles’ relationship with Harry has been massively strained following the release of “Spare” and its accompanying interviews as the duke unleashed several attacks on his family, accusing them of leaking stories to the press, as well as mistreating his wife.
