Jamie Carragher has taken to social media to make a hilarious comment about fellow Sky Sports colleague Gary Neville following Manchester United’s late collapse at Stamford Bridge.
Cole Palmer scored an incredible 82 seconds to score the last goal in Premier League history as Man United capitulated late.
The Blues took a two-goal lead in the first half and looked in cruise control before Alejandro Garnacho’s Moises Caicedo error made the comeback.
Bruno Fernandes scored the goal to make it 2-2 before half-time, and Garnacho scored what looked like the winner in the second half, before Palmer’s incredible late brace.
Take to X After the match, Carragher took a shot at Neville as he tweeted: ‘The billion pound bottle jobs!’ with a laughing emoji.
The dig was in relation to Neville’s comments about Chelsea after their Carabao Cup final defeat to Liverpool.
After what turned out to be the decisive goal, Neville gave a blunt assessment of the two teams.
‘It’s Klopp’s children against the blue billion-dollar bottles. I have no sympathy for Chelsea whatsoever,” Neville said.
It wasn’t just Carragher who hit back at Neville on social media, with several football fans joining in too.
“Thoughts go out to @GNev2 for his Red Billion Pound bottlejobs,” joked one Chelsea fan.
“Billion pound red bottle jobs,” wrote another with a photo of Mason Mount, who took to the field of play as his side won before capitulating late at his former home.
“Billion pound bottle jobs with a game in hand are only five points behind Manchester United,” another fan commented.
