Newly released footage shows the terrifying way artists defaced a billion-dollar abandoned building in Los Angeles with graffiti.
The graffiti artists were able to cover 27 floors of Oceanwide Plaza, an abandoned three-building project owned by Oceanwide Holdings, with colorful tags last week.
In a video released today, a man wearing a red hoodie and gray sweatpants can be seen walking on the edge of the building without a safety harness as another man captures the moment.
The daredevil continues to walk on what appears to be a balcony, holding on to the walls of the Plaza.
At one point, the videographer points the camera toward the ground to show the glittering lights of the city.
It is unclear how many floors the duo was when they captured the images.

After photos of the graffiti went viral, several graffiti artists got to work explained why the building was destroyed.
Merch, a graffiti artist, said taggers were inspired by a similar project for Art Basel in Miami Beach last year and “wanted to do an LA version.”
On how they gained access to the building, the vandals said developers allegedly failed to pay security guards on the premises.
‘With all due respect, the s*** is being abandoned and nothing is being done. Let’s put some color on this and do what we do when they don’t finish the job,” said an artist named Hopes.
The $1 billion mixed-use retail and luxury apartment project was left unfinished in January 2019 after the Beijing-based developer lacked the resources to complete it.

The Los Angeles Police Department said in a tweet last night that it has developed a plan with district officials to secure the property and remove the graffiti.

“Last night I heard people from out of state were coming here to paint.
“LAPD said there may be an Instagram post floating around and apparently it invited people to come. It was wild to watch. It’s quite interesting. It’s not that luxurious here anymore.’
The Los Angeles Police Department said this in a statement last night tweet that it has developed a plan with district representatives to secure the property and remove the graffiti.
“Today, Central Division staff met with CD 14 property management and representatives to work together to enhance the security of the property and add additional security measures.
“The measures will be implemented immediately and the graffiti will be removed.”
At the time of construction, the Oceanwide Plaza had two 40-story buildings that could house 340 luxury apartments, including private movie rooms, a dog wash facility and many other on-site amenities.
The building is located across the street from the Crypto.com Arena and the Los Angeles Convention Center.
The Crypto.com Arena is home to the Lakers and hosted this year’s Grammys on February 4.
