The 15-year prison sentence was partially suspended, but he will serve three years in prison for each charge and the remainder of the time on adult probation.

Mohr was hired by the family to teach their daughter softball at the Strike Zone Training Center in Fort Wayne. However, he began to turn her against her family and seriously damaged her trust.

After six months of training, the victim’s father found his daughter at Mohr’s home.

She told investigators that Mohr touched her in a sexual manner during their softball sessions and that they had privately shared digital images with each other.

Mohr also allegedly touched her while they were in his car and even gave her a new phone so they could keep in touch.

The victim’s father also revealed in court that Mohr managed to disable parental controls on her phone. He said he was able to track her down and save her from rape just before her 14th birthday.

Mohr was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in 1997 and played seven years in the MLB.

It is alleged that he arrived in Fort Wayne in 2009 to be close to his two daughters and their mother. He previously volunteered at Northrop High School as the first base coach, but only for one season.
