And that just happens to be the age difference between Matt Smith and his latest romantic companion.
The 40-year-old ex-Doctor Who star was spotted in a clinch with actress Emma Laird, 24, outside a pub near his North London home last week.
It came after they had spent hours chatting and laughing together, and at one point they were seen gazing into one another’s eyes as they drank and smoked at a picnic table.
And at around midnight, the pair headed off into the evening together. An onlooker said: ‘They were both looking in great spirits, enjoying several drinks al fresco until the late hours.

Earlier this year it was rumoured that she was in a relationship with Taylor Swift’s ex Joe Alwyn, after filming The Brutalist with him in Hungary.
On Instagram, she shared a picture of the actor on a scooter during a night out, along with a caption that read: ‘Moments in March,’ accompanied by a red heart emoji.
