Just like the first season, the second season will be based on the popular Wondery podcast.

The second season of Dr. Death comes from showrunner, writer and executive producer Ashley Michel Hoban, who was behind season one and the true crime hit The Girl from Plainville.

When investigative journalist Benita Alexander approaches Paolo for a story, the lines between personal and professional begin to blur, changing her life forever.

While Benita discovers how far Paolo will go to protect his secrets, a group of doctors on the other side of the world make shocking discoveries of their own.

Those discoveries put everything about the ‘Miracle Man’ into question.

“I am so honored to have the opportunity to teach Dr. Death universe with this fascinating story,” showrunner Ashley Hoban said in a statement.
