FBI agents and state police conducted a raid on the home of Scott Ritter, a former U.N. weapons inspector, in Delmar, upstate New York. The raid took place on Wednesday afternoon.

Law enforcement officers were seen entering Ritter’s residence. The reason behind the raid remains unclear, as does Ritter’s presence at the time.
An FBI Albany spokesperson confirmed the activity on Dover Drive, stating it was part of an ongoing federal investigation. Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, further details were not provided.
The raid followed a social media post by Ritter the previous day, showing him with independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., captioned “Burgers with Bobby!”
In June, Ritter appeared on Andrew Napolitano’s podcast, revealing that U.S. Customs and Border Protection had seized his passport while he was about to board a flight to Russia. He claimed CBP agents informed him that the State Department had ordered the seizure without providing further explanation.
Ritter served as the U.N.’s chief weapons inspector in Iraq from 1991 to 1998. In 2011, he was convicted of sex-related crimes involving an underage girl, marking the second such accusation within a decade. In 2001, he was involved in a police sting operation in Colonie, New York, attempting to lure an officer posing as a 16-year-old girl. These charges were later dismissed and the case was sealed.
