Celebrated media personality Sharon Barang’a has announced to the whole world that she has left TV47, after close to three years of service.
The top journalist made the big announcement few hours ago via her social media, and disclosed that Thursday the 29th of June was her last day at the station.

In the emotional post, Sharon Barang’a appreciated TV47 for the opportunity that they gave her to be part of their team, at a time when she was going through some challenges in her life.
The award-winning journalist also disclosed that she was thrown a farewell party by her colleagues at the station, as they wished her all the best in her next chapter.
“My farewell party just went down. Today was my last day at tv47…I cried, I ‘crewed’, it has been an emotional day leaving the company that received me warmly when I was going through a rough patch in my life.

Sharon Barang’a joins TV47
Sharon Barang’a actually joined TV47 in October 2020, and this was after being fired from the Nation Media Group-owned station NTV.
The award-winning journalist’s new role at TV47 then was to be the head of education desk and a senior reporter.

Facing hard times
TV47 actually hired Sharon Barang’a at a time when she was still going through a phase of mourning in her life.
In July 2020, she revealed to the whole world that she was going through a hard time after being sacked by NTV barely two weeks after losing her dad.
“I have lost my dad and job in one month…it is well. I am hanging in there. Thank you for all the calls, msgs & prayers” Sharon Barang’a wrote in a tweet then.
