Too Hot to Handle’s self-confessed ‘horniest’ star Christine Obanor has revealed that she quietly split from her on-screen partner Louis Russell shortly after the cameras stopped rolling – while admitting that she went nine months without sex in the wake of their break-up.

The 26-year-old model from Texas was among the 14 singletons to take part in the latest series of the Netflix show and she made it all the way to the final with her love interest Louis Russell, 22.

However, since leaving the Netflix program, which was won by 23-year-old Elys Hutchinson, Christine has parted ways with London-based Louis, citing distance for the reason for their split.

‘I enjoyed the experience 100 per cent,’ she said. ‘I feel like I came in with a different mindset and changed so much after leaving it. I didn’t expect to learn anything.

‘I didn’t expect to be on Too Hot To Handle in the first place and I didn’t expect to be matched up with somebody, or to leave with a clearer mindset.’

‘And surprising enough, Lana did work,’ Christine added, referring to the virtual host. ‘I did go nine months without having sex. [I was the] horniest girl in the retreat. It is growth.’

Shedding light on her break-up with Louis, Christine admitted that distance did play a huge role in their split.

‘I feel like Lana definitely set me up putting me to connect with someone who lives across the world, so obviously based on our circumstances and our differences in age and maturity, we felt it was best to just leave a friendship between us,’ she shared.

‘We still do have a great connection and I still say he’s my twin flame, the way we connect is like no other.

‘We did just decide to keep it on a friendship base for now. I’d rather still have him in my life and have that connection with him as a friend opposed to trying to force a relationship when it’s a bit tricky to make it work, but we don’t know what the future holds…’

Christine divulged that while she is currently single, she isn’t going back to her old ways and chasing potential partners.

‘I am single at the moment and kinda waiting for whatever falls into my lap,’ she laughed. ‘Lana did teach me that I shouldn’t always chase so hard all the time – even though if I do see someone I like, I will go for it.

‘Right now, I’m just focusing on my career and on my next journey of my life.

‘I haven’t really been like full throttle looking for a relationship. But if it happens, it happens.’

Reflecting on her journey on the show, Christine acknowledged that she initially leaned into being rebellious.

‘I coped by breaking rules because I felt like rules were made to be broken,’ she said.

‘But as I was progressing, I was learning that I can find something more meaningful without the intimacy and without all the extra stuff. Lana did have a point.
