EXCLUSIVE: RHOC Shannon Beador visited ex-boyfriend John Janssen's Newport Beach house before DUI crash – as couple are seen together for the first time since arrest

Jilted housewife Shannon Beador had been distraught following a visit to ex-boyfriend John Janssen’s house when she was arrested for DUI and a hit-and-run in Newport Beach last weekend, DailyMail.com has learned. 

Insiders have revealed the RHOC star, 59, had gotten behind the wheel of her sedan after having dinner and drinks with friends at local eatery, A Restaurant, on Saturday night before heading to Janssen’s home and at some point crashing her car just a few yards away.

Janssen broke his silence in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com Wednesday – just a day after the two were spotted arriving at Beador’s house together. 

‘We are friends, I care about her,’ he said. He also denied that the two had had a fight the night of her arrest, adding: ‘I have no comment.’

Janssen went on to say that he and Beador have not gotten back together and insisted they are only friends.

It is unclear if the couple – who split late last year after four years of dating – actually managed to meet up before the accident or if Beador smashed her car while taking off after learning Janssen was not home. 

A close source told DailyMail.com: ‘Shannon is obsessed with John, she can’t get over him and she was humiliated when he dumped her last November.’ 

‘She now lives a stone’s throw from him, literally down the street from him. It’s obvious she was at his house or passing by it on the night she was arrested. 

‘The area where she crashed her car is not on the route from the restaurant to her house.’

Friends of the reality star have also revealed that the mom-of-three suffered visible injuries to her face during the collision and has received support from her ex at her home since then. 

Earlier on Wednesday Janssen was spotted arriving at her beachside home before leaving and dropping off a bag of laundry at a nearby dry cleaners. He went to a local supermarket, coming out with a case of Pelligrino and bags of groceries.

He then hurried back to his ex’s house where he spent about an hour inside before leaving and driving back to his house.

Beador barely missed the front door of the home and the footage showed no bystanders were nearby

The insider also revealed the reality star’s face ‘is messed up from hitting the steering wheel after she crashed her car into a house last weekend.’

Beador was seen on Tuesday for the first time since her arrest as she and Janssen arrived at his home – where he was seen giving her a hand with the front door after the accident reportedly left her with a possible broken arm. 

Beador was seen wearing a jacket but her left arm was not in the jacket sleeve and seems to be in a sling. 

The Bravo star is said to have been dining with pals while Janssen had dinner with a friend a few miles away at the Quiet Woman restaurant. 

On Monday former fellow OC Housewife and foe, Kelly Dodd updated subscribers on Patreon after visiting Beador in their tony Balboa Peninsula neighborhood of Newport Beach. 

Dodd, who also lives nearby, revealed an emotional Janssen had answered the door at Beador’s home where housewife Vicki Gunvalson and her boyfriend, Michael Smith were also present.

He later went to a local supermarket, coming out with a case of Pellegrino and bags of groceries

‘John told me that Shannon doesn’t want to see anyone, that it’s it been really rough.’ Dodd said. 

‘John told me she feels terrible and is remorseful and embarrassed for her daughters.’ 

At one point during the visit, Dodd claimed, Janssen became emotional and broke down as he spoke about the incident and told her: ‘I just can’t stop crying.’ 

She also told Patreon subscribers that ‘Shannon’s face is all screwed up’ from the accident. 

‘She hit her face on the steering wheel and may have to go to a plastic surgeon,’ she said. 

An arrest report obtained by DailyMail.com states Beador was arrested at 11:45pm on Saturday on Clubhouse Ave, just 230 feet from Janssen’s home and a two-minute drive from A Restaurant. 

Dodd told DailyMail.com: ‘I was told Shannon left the restaurant at approximately 11pm.’ 

She went on to say that she doesn’t know if the exes ever met up that night and believes Beador had taken off and crashed either after a short-lived conversation between the two that left her upset, or after arriving and realizing Janssen wasn’t home.

Janssen, who dated Beador for four years before calling it quits last November, was seen stepping out in his neighborhood on Monday

On Tuesday new footage of the incident emerged showing a speeding car slamming into a house before backing away and leaving the scene of the wreck. 

The video obtained by TMZ claims to show Beador zooming around the corner of a Newport Beach, California, residential street before slamming into a nearby house appearing to misjudge the turn.

The wild footage shows a car careening out of control, hitting the wall and then slowly reversing before driving away.

Pictures taken of the damage the next day by the outlet show a huge skid mark left on the road as well as a concrete planter left in disrepair.

It appeared that the driver of the vehicle barely missed the front door of the home and the footage showed no bystanders were nearby.

TMZ claims a source said Beador eventually parked in the middle of the street getting out with her dog. 

The outlet claims that when cops arrived, she tried to act like she was just walking her dog but authorities didn’t buy it. 

Her lawyer Michael Fell told the outlet: ‘[Beador] is extremely apologetic and remorseful.’

‘We will be awaiting the official information on this case as it becomes available, and Shannon is prepared to accept full responsibility for her actions.’

It comes after the reality star, who was blindsided by a brutal split from her boyfriend John Janssen, decided to seek counseling after her DUI arrest. 

A representative for Newport Beach Police Department confirmed Beador, 59, was booked for hit-and-run and DUI alcohol. She was cited and released without bond. 

Beador’s friend and Flipping Out star Jeff Lewis, 53, revealed she had called him after the incident to say she is ‘ashamed and embarrassed’ and  ‘accepting full accountability.’

Speaking on Monday’s episode of his SiriusXM show, Jeff Lewis Live, he said: ‘I am happy to say that she is gonna be entering counseling this week, so I’m happy about that.’

‘I don’t think Shannon is an alcoholic. I think as her close friend, I think she’s going through a lot of personal struggles right now, and I think that she probably has been leaning on alcohol, but I don’t believe she’s an alcoholic.’

He confirmed Beador was injured in the car wreck but that no one else was hurt. 

He added that he has ‘never known’ Beador to ‘ever ever ever drink and drive,’ saying: ‘I’m not justifying it, I’m not condoning it, I just am telling you what I know.’
