Celebrated media personality Sharon Barang’a has revealed to her fans that she has landed a new job at the China Global Television Network (CGTN).
The ex-TV47 journalist was over the moon as she announced the big news on Wednesday morning, and this was via a post on her Twitter account.

In the post, Sharon Barang’a revealed that she started her new role this week, even though she never disclosed what exactly the role entailed.
“My new home 😊
This week, I started a new chapter in my career.
To everyone who has been following up on my journey, cheering me up & praying for me…Asanteni sana” she wrote.
Sharon Barang’as disclosure however comes barely a week after she called it quits with TV47.
She had infact worked at the station for three years, but her last day at the fast-rising media house was on Thursday, the 29th of June.
At the time that Sharon Barang’a left TV47, she was indeed very emotional.
She infact penned a message of appreciation the station, for giving her a chance at a time when she was going through some challenges in life.
The top journalist was also thrown a farewell party, in which she even shed some tears as she said her goodbyes.
“My farewell party just went down. Today was my last day at tv47…I cried, I ‘crewed’ it has been an emotional day leaving the company that received me warmly when I was going through a rough patch in my life. @tv47news became literally became family to me” Sharon Barang’a wrote.
The top journalist actually joined TV47 in October 2020, and this was after being fired from NTV.
Sharon Barang’a therefore joined the station then to be the head of education desk and also a senior reporter.
It should be noted that the award-winning journalist was fired at NTV barely two weeks after losing her dad, and therefore it was indeed a difficult moment for her then in 2020.
